It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Reinhold Markut on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the age of 75.

Beloved son of the late Albin Markut and the late Pauline Maier Markut.

Proud father of Christine Markut, Reinhold “Ryan” Markut Jr. (Marilyne Gosselin Turcotte); and grandfather of Benjamin Markut and Gabriel Markut.

Dear brother of Alfred Markut and Waltraud Reiter.

Reinhold will be dearly missed by his extended family in Canada and Austria, his farming neighbours and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Laurent Hill Funeral Home, 709 Principale St., Casselman, ON K0A 1M0, (613) 764-3286 on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 12 – 2 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Ste. Euphémie Parish, Casselman on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 2 p.m.  Spring Interment, Ste. Euphémie Parish Cemetery, Casselman.
