We waren jong en hadden (nog) geen idee van het leven, al dachten we dat wel...
We koesteren de mooie momenten (op de David Brown, de Porsche van Jean, of op hoeveel tijd de afstand Charneux-Kortrijk Dutsel kon gefietst worden...).

Aan Ingrid en de rest van de familie. Ik wens jullie veel sterkte, maar vooral veel mooie herinneringen. Ik zal nooit vergeten hoe gastvrij wij bij jullie ontvangen zijn vorig jaar. Maar ook de herinneringen aan vroeger komen terug. Als onze pa belde met Canada dan gingen de deuren dicht zodat er geen lawaai uit het café was, en riep hij steevast 'Ha Duits!' En als jullie op bezoek kwamen werd er veel gelachen en moesten er curryworsten zijn. Ik heb alleen maar leuke herinneringen. Ne mens met een groot hart, die zou willen dat jullie nu goed voor elkaar en voor jullie zelf zouden zorgen.

Dag Ingrid en familie. Zoals zovelen waren ook wij verrast door het overlijden van Jan. Roland en Michella hielden ons regelmatig op de hoogte van het vaak lastige reilen en zeilen in Canada. Zeker de laatste jaren. Ondankbare ziekte en tegenslagen werden gelukkig goed opgevangen door zijn dierbaren, Ingrid op kop! Helaas heeft Jan niet kunnen wachten op het bezoek van zijn hoogbejaarde maar o zo dappere moeder. We leven mee met alle betrokkenen! Cecile en Johan.
