Lapointe, Mr. Frédéric (Fred) L. Of Ottawa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the age of 95. Spouse of the late Madeline Moroney and son of the late Arthur Lapointe and late Annie Vézina. Predeceased by two sons, Stanley (Diana) and Garry; two brothers, Arthur Jr. and Oscar; two sisters, Emelda and Anita; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Ford and a grandchild Luc Lapointe. He is survived by a daughter Linda (Yves Orsoli) and three sons, Ronald (Judy Brown), Leo R. (Denise Vézina) and Robert. Beloved grandfather of 18, great-grandfather of 29 and great great-grandfather of one; plus many nieces, nephews and dear friends. The religious service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday December 27, 2012 at the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica of Ottawa (385 Sussex Drive, Ottawa). Following the service, the family will greet relatives and friends downstairs in the Cathedral Hall. Interment at the Notre Dame Cemetery of Ottawa. The family would like to thank the staff of St-Viateur, Genesis Gardens for their loving care.
