Nécrologie de Horst Michael Loy

Of Embrun, 80, died peacefully on August 25, 2021, at St Jacques Nursing Home after a long struggle with cancer and dementia. He is survived by his wife Marie, sons Stewart (Mary), Stephen, and daughter Melissa. He was predeceased by his brother, Reinhart Loy. Horst’s family immigrated to Canada in 1951. He grew up in Winnipeg before moving to London to work with the Canada Revenue Agency and then, to Ottawa where he worked with the Canada Revenue Agency and Public Works. His last position was with the Office of the Auditor General of Canada. He retired in 1995. The family greatly thanks the staff at St Jacques Nursing Home for the care and compassion shown during his stay at the Home. At his request, there will be no funeral service but, rather, be remembered for who he was. Memorial donations to The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
