Nécrologie de Louise Ladouceur

Ladouceur, Louise (née Menard)

It is with a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Louise Menard Ladouceur on Friday, January 12th, 2024 at the age of 70.

After a courageous battle with cancer, she passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.

Predeceased by her parents Lucienne (Lucy) Menard (née Parenteau) and Charles (Charlie) Menard, Louise was born on March 17th, 1953.

She is survived by her loving husband Denis; her beloved son Matthew (Mia) and stepson Peter (Allison); along with her grandchildren Joey and Jarrett.

She will be greatly missed by her siblings Denis, Diane (Denis) and Peter (Patricia) as well as her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Louise grew up in Kemptville, Ontario where she attended North Grenville High School and later on met Denis while working as a Real Estate Agent.

Louise lived life to the fullest and loved to travel. Everywhere she went, she would make instant friendships that lasted throughout her journey in life. She had a keen sense of humour with a presence that could fill a room with her outgoing nature and kind heart. She will never be forgotten by those touched by her.

She loved to golf, fish, play pool and card games.  She was a member of a Lady's Foursome in Westport, Ontario; and went golfing with Denis at every opportunity.  She referred to Sunnyside Campground as her "happy place" where she spent most of her summers amongst her many dear friends.

Special thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at the Winchester District Memorial and Ottawa General Hospitals; as well as Dr. Sharon and Nurse Allison who guided Louise at home. Louise loved receiving all of the messages and beautiful flowers sent to her.

Louise’s family will receive condolences at Our Lady of the Visitation Parish, 5338 Bank St, Ottawa, ON K1X 1H1 on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 10:30 to 11 a.m.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., followed by a reception in the parish hall.
